Sixers Announce 90s Hip-Hop Halftime Acts to Perform Songs Older than Their Roster

I could see if this was some kind of weird ploy to sell tickets, but those are all good teams (and probably fairly well-sold games): At upcoming Sixers games, some late 80s/early 90s hip-hop acts will take the court at halftime to play songs older than most of the Sixers roster. You’ve got Naughty by Nature (formed 1988), Tag Team (formed 1993), Cupid (aka the “Cupid Shuffle” guy), and Montell Jordan (“This is How We Do It” came out in 1995). It’s a weird group of artists, but it’s a very Sixers thing.

At the very least, you’ll get to see this song performed at halftime of a Sixers game. It came out before Jahlil Okafor was born:
