Earlier today, Joel Anthony and a top-eight protected 2016 first-round pick were traded from Detroit to Houston for for Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton. But the Rockets don’t want Anthony, so they picked up their phones and did what teams do when they’re dumping things they don’t want: They called the Sixers.
We’ll update this post and headline when we have more information.

UPDATE 3: According to new reports, the Pistons/Rockets trade and Rockets/Sixers trade were technically one three-team deal, though the first part was announced way before. The acquired assets remain the same all around.
