The Flyers turned in a lackluster effort against the Penguins today – always bet against a team with one of its top scorers coming back – losing 4-1 and getting outshot 35-17. That is a season low.

Steve Mason played, but apparently Michal Neuvirth was supposed to start. The Flyers issued a somewhat cryptic, non-upper or lower body injury update. In full:

Flyers goaltender Michal Neuvirth ‘wasn’t feeling right’ and that is why he is not playing.

Well then! Thanks for that.

We’ll update with any quotes after the game. But this seems oddly specific, in that it quoted Neuvirth as saying he “wasn’t feeling right.”
