Mormons love Brian Dawkins for some reason.

The map above shows the top-selling Mitchell and Ness throwback jersey shipped to each state in 2015. Kobe was their top overall seller, even though Larry Bird won the most states with five. But there was a lot of flip-flopping from 2014 to 2015.

Alabama flipped from Ryne Sandberg to Allen Iverson this year. AI also took the title in his home state of Virginia. Delaware moved on from Kobe Bryant to Reggie White. Everyone in PA loaded up on their Randall Cunningham jerseys last year, so they had to go with Reggie in 2015. And New Jersey went from North favorite Joe Namath to South favorite Reggie White. Everyone in the tri-state area has a Reggie White throwback, apparently.

But why B-Dawk? Everyone in Utah hung a Karl Malone jersey in their closet in 2014, so they decided to move on to Dawkins in 2015. Why? Lots of Jesus love? Or maybe those sober Mormons must have some Weapon X creeping deep inside of them, waiting to come out.

Kyle: Fun B-Dawk story. A certain national NFL commentator I once sat on the GSD set with told a story about how B-Dawk was on the “God squad… until you see him at Delilah’s.”
