He’s got a face you want to punch, hair you want to have, and skills you want on your team. Each of these things makes Bryce Harper easily hate-able in its own way. But as it turns out, he’s a good guy, and it almost makes you want to hate him more:
There are “good guy” stories in sports – dude signs extra autographs, takes selfie with fan, etc. – but this is above and beyond. If you still want to hate him, that’s fine. He can be a really good dude and kind of a doucher at the same time. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive. But don’t hate him too much. It’ll make you look jealous, and you gotta save some of that extra hate for when he becomes a Yankee.
