Good Morning America Simultaneously Ruined LeBron and Kermit Memes
By Kyle Scott
Published:

I don’t think TV can get worse than Good Morning America, ABC’s promotional engine for its prime time offerings, oh and also George Stephanopoulos pretending not to be a Clinton spokesperson and Ginger Zee pretending not be an attention-starved wannabe celebutante:

But today, they reached a new low through their Twitter account, when it polled viewers about whether Crying LeBron can join Crying Jordan and, uh, WHAT:
Does #CryingLeBron join other meme greats like #tealizard, #CryingJordan and #smockin / the mask? Tweet us! pic.twitter.com/4xoDahAk1Q

Never mind that the question itself put the always-hilarious Crying memes firmly on the back of a briskly-surfing shark and that the resulting “no” response from viewers was a blow to all of us welcoming and inclusive folk who think THERE’S ROOM FOR BOTH, GMA referred to what is very obviously Kermit The Frog sipping tea – but that’s none of my business meme – as a fucking tea lizard. At least the responses were fun:
Our best memes have been mutated into misshapen monsters. It ain’t easy being green.
Twitter has spoken: #CryingLeBron does not join other popular memes.

And yes, I do hate myself for writing this post.
