And with it, came the first real mention of it actually being a Jones fracture:
Ben Simmons had surgery today to repair acute Jones fracture of the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. No timetable on his return.

Dr. Martin O’Malley also did Joel Embiid’s second foot surgery. Embiid will be limited to 12 minutes tonight, Jahlil Okafor will not play, and Nik Stauskas could play some point guard. Things could be more exciting.
