We reported a couple of weeks ago that Jon Marks’ contract was just about to be up at 97.5 the Fanatic, and that he’d be leaving at the end of it. This morning, he signed off the Morning Show for the last time, saying in part:

“My time has been winding down here at the Fanatic and today here is actually my last day…It’s almost unprecedented in this business [to be able to sign off on your last day] and it says a lot about this company and a lot about the people that are here. It’s been the best ten years of my life. And I just want to thank everybody…I’m gonna spend the next couple months with my baby and my wife and kinda recharge myself and find out what I’m gonna do with the rest of my life, but thank you guys…This has been my family, and thank you for everything.”

Gargano lead in to his comments by saying “we’ve really enjoyed the show for the past 18 months. We started from nothing basically, and it became a real show.” Marks has a 90-day no compete clause but time will tell if he makes the move to WIP after that period is up.
