87ers Games Will Start Airing on the Comcast Network
Sixers press release:
The Delaware 87ers today announced they have teamed up with TCN (The Comcast Network) for a television broadcast partnership for the 2016-17 season. Veteran CSN Sixers reporter Dei Lynam will join the Sevens as the team’s first color analyst. She will be paired with a play-by-play team that includes Sixers radio broadcaster Tom McGinnis, and SIXERS.COM personality Brian Seltzer.
“We are extremely excited to be enhancing our broadcast opportunities with TCN as we enter the second year of this partnership,” said Sevens President Larry Meli. “Dei, Tom and Brian will certainly enrich our on-air presence throughout what looks to be an action-packed year of basketball in The First State.”
The Sevens’ collaboration with TCN is just one of five team television partnerships in the NBA D-League heading into this season. In all, TCN is scheduled to broadcast 14 home games this season, up from eight total broadcasts in 2015-16, the first year of the partnership. A full season broadcast schedule can be found at SEVENS.COM.
Why? Seriously, why? This can’t even be worth the time and effort to broadcast the games.
