For the first time (and hopefully the last), Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor both started tonight’s game. Did it work? Embiid took only 6 shots, and had his first single-digit scoring game in the NBA with only 9. He did post a career-high 5 assists (with 6 rebounds and 2 blocks), while Okafor put up 17 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks. For a large chunk of the game, it seemed like Joel Embiid was playing off-ball decoy. That’s not ideal. Also not ideal: Embiid rolled his ankle pre-game, got a bloody nose on friendly fire, hit his knee, hurt his finger, and dove over the first row into the stands.

Robert Covington notched a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds, Sergio Rodriguez scored 16, and Gerald Henderson did the same. DeMar DeRozan scored 31.

The Sixers next play the Lakers at home on Friday night. Clips after the jump.
