The Eagles' Ticket-Winning Fan Was on NBC 10 and SportsCenter
On Tuesday, Twitter became all a flutter about a man who had won 13 Eagles ticket giveaways over the past couple of years. We wrote about it because we love a good, low-to-no stakes conspiracy theory. As it turns out, we jumped the gun a bit.
Twitter user @YungYle – real name Kyle Lloyd – has been making the media rounds. Last night his story made NBC10’s 11 o clock news, and he was on SportsCenter this morning telling his story, saying he GPS’s how long it’s going to take him to get to Swoop, clocks out early for lunch, and just loves his team.
So we – along with a bunch of other websites and seemingly everyone who was on Twitter on Tuesday – jumped on the guy a bit too early. As it turns out he’s just a die hard fan trying to go to games for free, and he’s willing to chase Swoop to the ends of the Earth to do it.
Lloyd is definitely right about one thing. “Now I have a lot of competition” he told ESPN. Dude’s gonna have to watch his peripherals while running after Swoop. Teams of two might head down there and send one man for tickets and one man to play defense.
Video after the jump.
