Upcoming Free Agent Bennie Logan Doesn't Wanna Go Anywhere
Free Agency is an exciting time for a young player. It’s exciting for them, their family, their agent, their bank account, etc. Just ask any mid-level free agent in the NBA last season, and they’ll tell you that your whole career and life can change with one piece of paper. Bennie Logan is looking forward to that, but he doesn’t want to go anywhere.
Speaking to Glen Macnow and John Barchard at Chickie’s and Pete’s yesterday, Logan said that “to some point money and everything is good, but you put money aside for happiness and what not.” Logan continued:
“It’s all about where you are happy and where you fit in and here is where I’m happy in, it’s where I fit in, and it’s where I want to be…
I don’t see myself going anywhere. Of course, I never had any idea of coming into the league and bouncing from team to team or what not like that. I’ve been here four years and that’s what I’m looking forward to, just staying here as long as my career allows me to. So I really don’t think about playing for another team.”
Logan might not stuff the stat sheet – which usually keeps your offers down a bit – but he’s been a reliable and consistent presence on the Eagles defense that they should lock down sooner rather than later. Will he give the Eagles a discount? Logan told Macnow, while laughing, “would you take a discount?” He’s right, and he probably won’t have to.
