Adam Schefter flips the switch on Chip Kelly’s NFL coaching career:

The San Francisco 49ers are expected to make sweeping changes, dismissing both head coach Chip Kelly and general manager Trent Baalke, according to league sources.

Meetings are expected to occur as early as postgame Sunday — San Francisco hosts the Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. ET — and no later than Monday to determine their ultimate fates, sources said. Both Kelly and Baalke are said to know that their time in San Francisco is coming to an end.

This is incredible. Somewhat surprising, even. Chip Kelly had a woefully bad roster to work with, making success all but impossible with that shit squad. Still, all of his worst habits from Philly made their way to San Francisco– he continued to be a lovable dick to reporters, his disregard for game flow brutalized whatever defensive spirit his team had, and he remained a stubborn idiot. His decision to take the job with the 49ers was eclipsed in its awfulness only by his descision to start Blaine Gabbert over Colin Kaepernick when anyone with two eyes could see that Kaepernick would be the perfect quarterback to run Kelly’s system. In fact, Chip’s biggest accomplishment with the 49ers may be sidestepping the race issue and not getting painted with a white hood by the local media given his track record with such issues in Philly.

Now, more than ever:
