At some point over the past few days, Scott O’Neil went on the jargon-laden cesspool that is LinkedIn and, naturally, he stumbled upon some oversimplified bullshit that someone wanting to be an entrepreneur made when they most definitely weren’t creating a sustainable business. Scott tweeted it:

You couldn’t subtweet the process more if you were a hipster tweeting a picture of a Sam Hinkie holding a cat with the word asset under it. Unfortunately for Scott, it didn’t go so well. This is every response he received:

And then there was this guy, whom I believe also cheered for the Giants in the mid-90s:

The process is a thing in spite of current Sixers management, which was hesitant to embrace it and essentially backstabbed its creator. It might be best to take the temperature of the room – IT’S COLD IN HERE! – before tweeting something like this. That said, I genuinely believe that Scott gives a shit. He wants to win. His tactics are at times shitty and the Sixers can be completely tone deaf, but O’Neil didn’t Tonya Harding (v.) Joel Embiid’s knee. He didn’t yank the screw out of Ben Simmons’ foot. I don’t doubt that he and the rest of the organization are smarting from how this has all gone down. But… yeah, no one wants to hear it, because the Sixers have spent the past four weeks outright lying, and pocketing fans’ money in the process.
