Report: Eagles Could Land Brandin Cooks in Trade
By Jim Adair

Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks is a popular guy. At the Scouting Combine, his name is being bandied about as a possible trade target for both the Eagles and the Titans, but reportedly the Eagles seem more likely to land him.
I'm told @Eagles likely landing spot for @brandincooks so not sure how that would affect @BMarshall interest https://t.co/zjpvauzFpc

According to NFL.com’s Marc Sessler, “Cooks spent portions of last year unhappy about his diminished role in the attack.” Still, the 23-year-old speedster pulled in 78 receptions for 1173 yards and 8 touchdowns. Alex Marvez said the cost would likely be a 2nd round pick, though Ian Rappppapapapapport thinks the Saints will need a 1st.
Cooks is in the last year of his rookie deal – as Eliot Shorr-Parks points out – and would cost only $2.6 million against the cap while also being eligible to sign an extension. And if you’re looking for a young receiver to pair with Carson Wentz so they can grow together, it doesn’t hurt that Cooks is actually younger than Wentz.
