The Eagles have landed their golden goose. Josina Anderson is reporting – confirmed by Schefter and Rapapapaport – that Alshon Jeffery will sign with the Eagles for one year, $14 million. The 27-year-old Jeffery is coming off of two shortened seasons – hamstring in 2015, PED suspension in 2016 – where he still brought in an average of 77.5 yards per game (1,628 yards in just 21 games). The prior two seasons, Jeffery was unstoppable. In 2013, Alshon caught 89 balls for 1,421 yards and seven touchdowns. He followed up that Pro Bowl campaign with 85 catches, 1,133 yards, and 10 touchdowns.

Jeffery immediately slides in as the Eagles’ number one option, with Torrey Smith (added this morning) as the number two.

Kyle wanted me to point out that he had it first, but it doesn’t count because he spelled Jeffery wrong. Details and commentary here.
