The Phillies Want to Hire Roy Halladay
Can you blame them?
According to a report from MLB.com, the Phillies are close with Roy Halladay on an agreement to work with the organization in some capacity. His resume is impressive: Two-time Cy Young Winner, shoe-in Hall of Famer, Phillies legend, and generally amazing dude. Working with him is a no-brainer. As for which job he’ll do, WHO CARES? Get him in, give him a desk in the corner, and figure things out from there. Plus, I think he could use something to do. For a while, he seemed really, really bored:

Halladay has been spending time with his family and coaching a 12 and under team, and look, he’s already in town:

Make him a pitching coach. You have Matt Stairs as your hitting coach, you can bring Jimmy Rollins in next year to do something, Chooch can start to coach the catchers, and the next thing you know your whole 2008/2009 squad is back together again. Chase is obviously the manager.
