So this report has been going around Flyers Twitter today. It comes from a Vancouver sports talk radio host eh who says eh that the Flyers are going to do something really stupid eh:

I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock into this. However, the consensus is that it shouldn’t be completely ignored. Vegas currently has the sixth pick, but they are reportedly working out side deals with a bunch of teams to avoid selecting certain players on their unprotected lists in exchange for draft picks (it seems like the league missed an opportunity for a rule to prevent such a thing). In other words, Vegas could wind up with a bunch of first round picks, not to mention players from the expansion draft tonight, that they could use to move up to number two. Of course, if this happens, I will personally go to the airport and verbally accost Ron Hextall upon his return from Vegas, and then I will stop being a Flyers fan for the period of one year and encourage all of you to do the same and basically harness the power of this blog to implement a coup against a madman who was just gifted the number two pick in a two player draft and then pissed it away for a bunch of scabs. But we don’t have to worry about that, because Ron Hextall is a smart man, right?
