You know Chase Utley must have done something when you’re out to dinner with your wife and get Tweets like this:
He either did the improbable or impregnated a female fan with his penetration gaze. Or both.
As it turns out, Chasenthal Utley saved a perfect game in the eighth inning with this diving catch:
Chase Utley is 38 years old. For context, I just turned 34 and called it quits after 10 points of competitive beach paddleball the other day because my quick twitch muscles aren’t what they once were and the thought of diving on the hard sand made me nauseous. Utley is out there soaring through the air like a majestic whooping crane in heat.
Rich Hill lost the perfect game bid in the ninth, and then, improbably, lost the no-hitter on a walk-off home run in the 10th:
