The Eagles return home to take on the Arizona Cardinals in what will be a busy week for the Birds.
On the injury front, Ronald Darby and Fletcher Cox are out, while Corey Graham, Jaylen Watkins, Destiny Vaeao, and Wendell Smallwood are questionable. According to Ian Rapoport, Smallwood is not expected to play.
For the Cardinals, starting left tackle D.J. Humphries and defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche are out, while wide receivers John Brown, J.J. 3:59 – JJ Nelson doesn’t get a touchdown. Instead, Rodney McLeod forces a touchback. Eagles will win 34-7 and improve to 4-1 on the year. They’ll play Carolina on Thursday.
3:55 – Bruce Arians, knowing that his team is down 27 with 1:30 left in the game, decided to call a timeout. Seriously.
3:48 – Jake Elliott drills an easy 28-yard field goal. Eagles lead 34-7 with two minutes left in the game. This drive started with 11:20 on the clock. Took 9:20 of game time. That’s called eating the clock.

— Reuben Frank (@RoobNBCS) October 8, 2017
3:05 – Nelson Agholor is a new person. Catches a 72-yard bomb from Wentz and does some moves as well. That’s his third of the year. Eagles lead 31-7 with 6:16 left in the third:

And that’s the half. Eagles lead 21-7.

https://twitter.com/CFJastrzembski/status/917093773196320768

Wiz is back in. Good.

2:00 – Eagles decide to punt on 4th and 1. I guess the math said to not go for it. Math is dumb.
1:55 – The left guard rotation continues. Chance Warmack is now in, for some reason.

1:45 – We’re done one quarter. The Eagles are destroying the Cardinals 21-0. This is fantastic.
1:40 – Wentz to Torrey Smith for a 59-yard BOMB. Eagles lead 21-0 and we’re still in the first quarter.

The Cardinals have punted on their first three drives.
1:34 – Cardinals with another bad offensive drive again. I feel like this is going to be a blowout, but there’s been weirder things that have happened.
1:29 – Jalen Mills is back on the field. As I type this, Tim Jernigan destroys a Cardinals running back.
1:26 – The Eagles are hot. Wentz finds Zach Ertz for 11 yards and the 14-0 lead:
https://twitter.com/CFJastrzembski/status/917078947871055872
1:25 – Kenjon Barner starts the Eagles with great field position after a 76-yard punt return:

1:20 – Jalen Mills got a little banged up on this drive. Patrick Robinson now at the outside.
1:17 – Birds are huge on 3rd and 10s or longer:
Eagles came into today #1 in the NFL converting 3rd-and-10 or longer at 36.8 percent. Just converted two 3rd-11's.
Eagles 7, Other team 0.

Wentz went 5 of 7 for 51 yards on that opening drive.
1:05 – Jalen Mills with three tackles on three plays. Active early on. Defense forces a three-and-out.
1:04 – Underway at the Linc.
1:03 – Interesting tidbit here:
Eagle told me wet field may not be problem for Eagles DBs because Cardinals run lotta go routes, not sharp cuts in grass#Eagles🦅 pic.twitter.com/R5BVrLROUB
— John Clark (@JClarkNBCS) October 8, 2017
1:01 – Eagles win the coin toss, but defer to the second half. Cardinals will begin the game on offense. Eagles going to test Arizona’s left side early. Cardinals have their fifth starting left guard this season.
12:21 – Trout to Philly is confirmed, again:

#AZvsPHI Inactives: DT Cox, CB Darby, WR Gibson, G Seumalo, RB Smallwood, DT Vaeao, S Watkins.

The defensive line is heavy with no Smallwood. How much of Corey Clement and Kenjon Barner will we see? Will we even see Barner outside of punt returns?
