I’m gonna spend the week shitting on Boston, because the Eagles are about to stick a railroad spike through the Patriots, an endcap on their dynasty.

I truly believe that. We’ll dive into the reasons why throughout the week, but the short version is that the Eagles are… better. Internal strife, looming coaching changes and two less-than-convincing playoff wins for the Patriots also doesn’t hurt.

Even better is that Tom Brady is concerning himself with a sports talk radio dipshit less than one week before the big game.

Last week, a WEEI host remarked about Brady’s daughter, referring to her as “an annoying little pissant” in reacting to a scene from Brady’s Tom vs. Time documentary series on Facebook, which is so deliciously timed with his demise I almost can’t contain myself. The host was suspended and apparently has nothing to do with the Kirk and Callahan Show on which Brady makes weekly appearances, but that didn’t stop Tom from getting needlessly bent out of shape and cutting his weekly call short this morning just before heading to a pep rally and flying to Minnesota:

Here’s the transcript thanks to Deadspin:

“Well, I think that — I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and have showed you guys a lot of respect,” Brady said. “I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys, so it’s very disappointing when you hear that, certainly. But my daughter or any child, they certainly don’t deserve that.”

Co-host Kirk Minihane apologized to Brady and said he understood the QB’s disappointment.

Here was Brady’s response: “I’ll obviously evaluate whether I want to come on this show again, so I really don’t have much to say this morning. So, maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time.”

Um.

I can completely sympathize with Brady being upset over the comments. They were also made in passing and exactly the sort of thing you subject yourself to… when you allow a film crew into your home for self-aggrandizing purposes and legacy crafting. So, rather than let them go and not scold two guys who had nothing to do with them, Brady slammed the station and questioned the future of his appearances.

Here was the original comment:

This. This is what I need Brady focusing on today. Not the Eagles, not Fletcher Cox coming for his ass, but this… a Boston shock jock making a comment about his daughter.

Better still is the Boston radio hosts rolling over and playing dead with Brady as their most popular segment writes its own ending before their very blowholes.

Also, I find it interesting that the Patriots, not the Eagles, held a sendoff rally. I suspect it will be the last public celebration of the Brady era, so at least he included a mic drop:

It’s over, Tom.
