The Eagles might have won the Super Bowl last night (WON THE SUPER BOWL— God, that feels so fucking good to write), but it doesn’t seem that Las Vegas oddsmakers have learned their lesson. Three-point underdogs against the Falcons? Three-and-a-half-point underdogs to the Vikings? Five-point underdogs to the Patriots? Didn’t matter.

Despite losing their MVP-caliber quarterback, future Hall of Fame left tackle, starting middle linebacker and two of their best special teamers, the Eagles put an exclamation point on a remarkable season in which they proved they were the NFL’s best team. Obviously, they’re the clubhouse leader to do it again next, right?

Of course not. According to the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, the New England Patriots are the early favorite to win Super Bowl LIII at +450. Fart noise.

No big deal, though. I’m sure the Eagles wouldn’t pay attention to anything like that.

Oh.

Still, the Eagles have the second best overall odds and best in the NFC at +600 ahead of the Vikings and Packers, each of which are installed at +1200. As for the NFC East, the Cowboys have the second best odds to win the division at +2000, while the Giants and Redskins both come in at +8000, but something tells me nobody around here will be too focused on next season until, I don’t know, at least next weekend.
