The Eagles are going Hollywood–sort of. Mike Quick, Merrill Reese, Don Smolenski, and Howie Roseman will each appear in a special episode of ABC’s The Goldbergs, which will air on Wednesday night.

This isn’t the first time the show has paid homage to the Philadelphia sports scene. Ruben Amaro Jr. made a cameo appearance in an episode earlier this year. The show was once set at Veterans Stadium, and dedicated another episode to late Flyers owner Ed Snider.

Executive producer Adam F. Goldberg largely bases the show on his experiences growing up in Jenkintown during the 1980s. In this particular episode, Goldberg’s older brother, Barry, joins the football team at William Penn Academy High School. Unsurprisingly, Barry lacks the skill or athleticism to help the team as a player, which leads to this confrontation with an assistant coach played by Eagles radio color analyst Mike Quick.
