In all of its shambolic glory:

Two days off between games one and two?

A 5 p.m. start time for game three?

A 6.p.m. start time on a Monday?

You can thank the Bruins for mucking this up. They’ve got home playoff games on Wednesday and Friday, which made Monday/Wednesday impossible for the Celtics. Still, wouldn’t it be easier to just bump game one back and do a Tuesday/Thursday schedule instead?

As for game three, you’ve got Philly and Boston going at 5 o’ clock while Cleveland and Toronto get an 8:30 slot, so no real issue there unless you’re a degenerate horse racing gambler. My gripe is that the Cavs and Raptors got the prime time slot again on Monday night, leaving the Sixers to host a home playoff game at 6 p.m. on a Monday, which is crapola.

And I’m not sure why the conferences are stacked together in the first place. Isn’t it easier to just pair one Western Conference series and one Eastern Conference series together and do a 7 p.m./10 p.m. jawn instead?

Whatever!
