This has been in the works for some time, we just never had a target date.
The real question is how many Birds actually accept the invitation. Some are Donald Trump fans and some aren’t. Malcolm Jenkins spoke in the past about not being interested in a “photo op” but also didn’t want to scold teammates who were interested in going.
My guess is that some players go, some don’t, and we move along to training camp. There are more important things to worry about, like keeping the Lombardi Trophy in Philadelphia.
