We’ll have meaningful NFL football games beginning in five days. And while you’re watching college football kick off, the Eagles and 31 other teams are cutting down their rosters to 53 players.

They have to get to that magic number by 4 PM today. Tomorrow will be the first day teams can make their 10-man practice squads.

The Eagles have reportedly cut the following players on Friday:

  • TE Billy Brown
  • QB Joe Callahan
  • WR Rashard Davis
  • OL Aaron Evans
  • DE Danny Ezechukwu
  • QB Christian Hackenberg
  • WR Darius Prince
  • TE Gannon Sinclair
  • C Jon Toth

We’ll update you on players who get cut today after the jump.

In addition, Tim Jernigan (NFI) and Chris Maragos (PUP) will miss at least the first six games if the season.

3:44 – Mailata made it.

3:17 – Sounds like Jordan Mailata made the team.

1:05 – A surprise cut: De’Vante Bausby. He was taking some first team snaps as the nickel cornerback early in training camp. Probably shows how much the team values Avonte Maddox.

The Birds also reportedly cut offensive lineman Toby Weathersby. The roster currently stands at 79.
