Over/Under: Markelle Fultz and the 76ers

The Sixers don’t practice until 4:30 today, with media availability at 5:30, so nothing much to report until a little before the Eagles game starts.
In the meantime, Bovada set a couple of over/unders for the team ahead of the coming season, which Derek Bodner shared:
Bovada sets o/u for Markelle Fultz at 10.5 ppg, 4.5 apg, and 44.5 three-pointers made on the season.

Markelle averaged 7 points and 3.8 assists in the 14 games he played last season, logging 18.1 minutes per game.
Per 36 minutes, he would have hit 14.2 and 7.5 and cleared both numbers rather easily. He will certainly hit those Bovada point and assist totals if he plays anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes a game.
The three pointers are tricky.
Fultz made one this entire preseason. In order to hit 44.5 made threes this year, he’d have to basically sink one in every other game. I really have no idea what to expect from him on Tuesday considering that he didn’t have a great China trip, but look at the guys who were right around that number last season:
Surely, if Jose Calderon and Sean Kilpatrick and Tyus Jones can hit that number, then Markelle Fultz can.
More numbers after the jump:
For those curious, o/u on:
Ben Simmons: 15 pts, 8 reb, 8 ast
Joel Embiid: 23.5 pts, 10.5 reb, 2.1 bl
Dario Saric: 14.5 pts, 6.5 reb
Covington at 12 ppg and Redick at 15.5 ppg.— Derek Bodner (@DerekBodnerNBA) October 11, 2018
Hammer the over on Simmons.
He averaged about 16, 8, and 8 as a rookie last season.
Joel is interesting. He averaged about 23 and 11 playing just 30 minutes per game as a sophomore. If he’s healthy enough to play 32 or 33 minutes, he should clear those totals as well. His block total was 1.8 per game last year, so 2.1 is certainly doable.
Embiid’s numbers:
Dario finished around 15 and 7 last year, so I’d take the over on that, for sure. Redick is an interesting case because he might be coming off the bench for Fultz this season, though he did put up 17 points in about 30 MPG last year.
