I missed this yesterday while doing other stuff.

We’ve got conflicting reports on Corey Brewer’s Sixers’ future.

In one corner, it’s 94 WIP’s do-it-all reporter/anchor Jon Johnson:

Sarah Todd at the Inquirer also reported this:

Corey Brewer’s second 10-day contract with the 76ers has expired and the team is not planning to sign him for the remainder of the season, according to team sources.

In the other corner, it’s Bobby Marks, no relation to Jon Marks:

Let’s get ready to rumble!

Here’s Jon’s follow-up, after the jump:

Alright, here’s the deal:

If Jon and Sarah turn out to be wrong, and the Sixers end up signing Brewer for rest of the season, they have to repent. They have to apologize to Twitter and do 50 push ups, 50 sit ups, and run 15 suicides at the Sixers practice facility. Then they have to say 10 Hail Marys and 10 Our Fathers.

Those are the terms.

The real question here is whether or not Furkan Korkmaz is a viable rotation guy in the playoffs. He’ll give you some shooting while being a defensive liability, so does Brewer make more sense moving forward? I think if you had to pick strictly between these two guys, Corey gives you a little more of what you need against Boston, Toronto, and Milwaukee.
