This news came out Tuesday via Adam Caplan, but today we’re getting reports on the dollar amounts involved in Lane Johnson’s contract restructuring:

Love that flexibility.

Lane was originally set to hit the cap at a team-high $15 million this season.

So if you’re keeping track, the Eagles have done the following this winter:

  • restructured Lane Johnson
  • allowed Nick Foles to walk
  • allowed Tim Jernigan to walk
  • extended Jason Kelce
  • extended Isaac Seumalo
  • re-signed Brandon Graham

Next on the list I think is going to be a decision on Nelson Agholor and his $9 million salary, which becomes guaranteed on the 13th. Michael Bennett, at $7 million, is probably the next biggest question mark after Agholor. Then you’ve got decisions to make on veterans like Jason Peters, Darren Sproles and Chris Long, plus free agency and a couple of lesser, yet still important moves, like tendering Nate Sudfeld and perhaps releasing Stef Wisniewski.

In the meantime, we’ll get Bryce Harper on the phone to recruit Le’Veon Bell. We can take a look at the macro-level cap situation after the Agholor and Bennett and Peters decisions are made.

Time’s yours.
