Not a big day in the Philly sports scene yesterday, so we’ll continue with some more Bryce Harper.

He’s been a popular guy since signing with the Phillies last week. So popular that the team store at Citizens Bank Park ran out of the letter “R” for some customizable jerseys. That’s a new one.

GM Matt Klentak spoke on WIP Monday morning (and John Middleton was on this morning) on the length discussions with Harper as well as the rest of the offseason. The GM said they went out early to make the Segura trade and other signings so they weren’t locked up on Harper or Machado.

He’ll make Citizens Bank Park his home, which is a good thing for him, but what about the other NL East ballparks he’s come to know very well over his career?

Harper and his wife and future kids will need a home. Sam Hinkie has a offer. See ya DC.

As mentioned yesterday, he’ll make his Spring Training debut on Saturday.

Before we continue, we have an opening for an online marketing person on the site. Apply and join us.
