Rapoport: Eagles’ Nelson Agholor Viewed as Available

The NFL Draft is tomorrow and I, for some reason, feel like it’s the least hyped I’ve felt since… last year’s draft. It’s not that I hate the draft, but with the Sixers prepping for a second round series with the Raptors, the Phillies -the last few games notwithstanding- proving to be worth a watch, the Flyers capturing headlines for hiring a coach and removing a statue, and the Union actually winning games early in the season, it’s been hard to get excited about the Eagles’ prospective pick at #25. Heck, even Donovan McNabb has provided more fodder for talk radio in the past few days than any reports about the Birds’ draft plans.
Then Ian Rapoport lit my Twitter feed ablaze:
One player teams view as being available: #Eagles WR Nelson Agholor. A versatile weapon, he carries a $9.4M fully guaranteed price tag and is a potential to be traded if Philly drafts a receiver.

If the report is accurate, it would appear that the Eagles have reached an impasse in negotiations with Agholor, a 2020 free-agent-to-be. Could Howie Roseman look to parlay Agholor’s skill and reasonable salary along with another pick to move up in the draft? While we don’t know how many teams could show interest, I suppose anything is possible. If we’ve learned anything about Roseman, it’s that the man loves his trades.
What would you want in an Agholor trade? Phone lines are open for the first time today…
