Good Morning America broadcasted live in Philadelphia this morning, and I gotta be honest with you; I didn’t even know Michael Strahan was on the show. I thought we was still doing Live! w/ Kelly Ripa, but apparently he moved on from that gig in 2016. Now he does GMA and this spinoff show called Strahan and Sara.

He also happened to play football for the rival New York Giants, and as such, he was appropriately booed when throwing out the first pitch at the Phillies game last night, after the jump:

Kinda cool to see Jon Runyan and Michael Strahan sitting next to each other, honestly. Those two had some WARS back in the day, like stuff that would shake the foundation of the Earth. Runyan went on to take political office, call the whole thing bullshit, and then quit. Strahan is now a modern day Regis Philbin, so go figure.

This makes me laugh:

From the Heavy.com writeup:

On Thursday, they continued their long-lasting friendship with some tongue-in-cheek banter. Strahan has long credited Runyan for making him a “student of the game” and calling him the “toughest guy” he has ever had to face on a consistent basis.

“Jon held every play, every single play,” Strahan said Thursday. “This is one of the reasons why I retired. He was a tough guy to play against and he made me a much better player.”

Runyan countered: “You need your nemesis to actually be the hero. He’s made a hell of a career out of running his mouth and he’s still doing it today.”

It’s a cool story, the respect they have for each other, but the Giants can seriously kiss my ass.

Go Birds.
