JJ Redick had ESPN’s Zach Lowe on his latest podcast.

GREAT Sixers stuff on this episode, including some free agency tidbits involving Jimmy Butler and Al Horford.

Said Redick on the latter:

“I was intrigued when Horford opted out. Because he, to me, is another guy who, maybe he doesn’t put up the numbers that these other guys do, but can really help a team. Having played a lot against him the last two years in Philly, he was the key to their team.

I didn’t realize how good he was. To see the accumulation of knowledge and skill he has now at this age, it’s remarkable. He’s really good.”

Horford to the Sixers confirmed.

Sike!

More after the jump, including a conversation about the Joel Embiid four chicken sandwiches story:

Zach Lowe: Joel… what did Landry Shamet say about Joel? Didn’t Landry come out and say it was his job to get like –

JJ Redick: Oh with the Chick-fil-A thing? I actually.. so, you know, I don’t know if I’ve actually seen Joel drink all four of those milkshakes, but yes –

Lowe: Chick-fil-A makes milkshakes?

Redick: Yeah. There’s some whipped cream on top. They’re phenomenal. But yeah, he had to get Joel X amount of chicken sandwiches, X amount of fries, and then some milkshakes. But most of the time the milkshakes got taken to the back and somebody else consumed them, a non-player. So these crazy stories are happening.

Lowe: LeBron showing up with wine to a game.

Redick: Yea, that was a good one. That was a good moment. I would love to get to the point in my life where I have zero fucks given. That to me is the ultimate boss move, to show up to a game with a glass of wine.

It’s a very good listen, a lot of little interesting things in here. Lowe also gave his predicted starting Sixers’ lineup next season, which was “Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, JJ Redick, and player X…not Tobias. That would be my guess.”
