Let’s get it back to the Eagles.

Training camp begins tomorrow, and as such, the talking heads are getting warmed up. They’re slowly rounding into form, digging deep to offer outrageous hot takes as they just make up stuff on the fly.

In shocking fashion, today we’ve got Dallas Cowboy fan Skip Bayless talking about why the ‘Boys are underrated and why the Eagles are overrated, in response to a USA Today story ranking the Birds as the NFL’s 3rd best team:

Skip, in part, after the jump:

“I want pressure mounting and mounting and mounting, and I want disaster lurking, right around the next corner, because this team is the most likely to fall on its face this year. This is how I have it right now; the Eagles are easily the most overrated NFL team and my Cowboys have become the NFL’s most underrated team, and it just astounds me, but it also makes me happy because it will only motivate my team and will only increase expectations on those Eagles.”

Yeah, okay.

Skip goes on to note that the Cowboys beat the Eagles twice last season, which is true. However, he fails to note that Dallas gave up 273 rushing yards in their divisional round playoff loss, which is the same round in which the Eagles exited the postseason. So the Cowboys didn’t get any further than the Birds last year.

It’s also worth noting that the Cowboys have a whopping three playoff wins dating back to 1996, while the Eagles have 14 playoff wins and a Super Bowl ring in that same time period.

Time’s yours.
