Eagles Reportedly Adding Safety Johnathan Cyprien on 1-Year Deal
Schefty coming in hot on a Friday morning:
Former Titans’ S Johnathan Cyprien is signing a 1-year deal with the Eagles, per source.

You may recall Cyprien worked out for the Birds in June. He’s a strong safety who plays Malcolm Jenkins’ position, a 29 year old who stands about 6’1″ and weighs about 215 pounds. Cyprien didn’t play last season because he tore his ACL in training camp and was then released by the Titans. Prior to that, he racked up tackles by the bunch playing on Jaguar teams that had yet to turn the corner.
Safety is a spot where the Eagles do have some question marks. Rodney McLeod is returning from injury. Andrew Sendejo is 31 years old. Tre Sullivan and Blake Countess are next on the list, and as we all know, last year Avonte Maddox moved out of his cornerback position to cover for myriad injuries.
So if Cyprien is healthy, he could be a nice pick up here. Assuming Jenkins is the stud he typically is, the Birds could use some stability behind him.
