Kensington’s Eddie Alvarez Scores Crazy Comeback Win in the Philippines

via ONE Championship

Eddie Alvarez, “The “Underground King.”

Kensington’s own left the UFC in 2018 and joined the ONE Championship promotion, which is based out of Singapore and features a number of Asian fighters on the roster.

Eddie lost his ONE debut back in March, and today he was matched up against former Lightweight champion Eduard Foloyang, who took Alvarez to the ground with a brutal leg strike and started throwing haymakers from above.

Then this happened, after the jump:

You can’t count Eddie out, ever. He has incredible guts and spirit. He could very well be the most blue collar, resilient Philly guy of all time.

FYI there’s a great UFC Fight Night on tap for tomorrow night, Robbie Lawler vs. Colby Covington, couple of high-ranking Welterweights with title implications on the line. It’s on ESPN.

  1. I thought this was the end, not of the fight, but of Eddie’s career….props to him for rebounding and finishing the guy.
