After undergoing surgery this morning for a broken bone above his left wrist, Eagles’ backup QB Nate Sudfeld is expected to return in six weeks, per source. Best-case scenario for Philly.

Non-throwing hand makes the injury not nearly as bad as it could have been.
So FYI, six weeks from now is September 20th, which would be right before the week three game against the Detroit Lions. I think you can live with Cody Kessler as your backup for the first 2-3 games of the season, and if Carson Wentz goes down that early, you’re screwed either way, so it doesn’t really matter who the backup is at that point.
