NBA Media Day today for some teams. The Sixers will hold theirs on Monday.

Among the high profile guys being introduced for the first time was Jimmy Butler, who went to Miami in the sign and trade deal that brought Josh Richardson to Philadelphia this summer.

One of the themes at Butler’s press conference was the “culture fit” of the Miami Heat:

He’s referring to Dwyane Wade when he talks about “number three.”

Butler also pushed back on the idea that he is disruptive, a bad apple in the locker room:

Jimmy was always pretty good with the media in Philly. I never got the sense that he was an “asshole,” per se, but more of a strong and unique personality, kind of a quirky guy, and that’s what’s caused some of the clashes he’s had in the past.
