Doug’s Friday press conference was pretty short. Under ten minutes.

Here’s what he had to say ahead of the trip to Buffalo:

  • RE: the open roster spot, they are “looking into that” and he notes that Bruce Hector is on the practice squad and can come up if necessary
  • DTs Albert Huggins and Anthony Rush are going to have to play this week (there’s literally nobody else on the depth chart unless you wanna move a defensive end inside)
  • Doug didn’t want to say who his slot corner will be this weekend
  • Ronald Darby has made “really good progress” and is working himself into football shape, “excited for his opportunity this weekend”
  • Cre’Von LeBlanc is “getting close”
  • team has “responded well” this week and put off field distractions behind them
  • Pederson addressed the anonymous source thing with the squad
  • DeSean Jackson is “getting close,” has been running and progressing, trying to get him “on the grass next week and see”
  • Avonte Maddox will practice today and “is getting close”

The DeSean thing is ridiculous at this point. He’s been out since week one and I’m still pulling photos from the Redskins game since there’s nothing else to use.
