Remember when everybody got all bent out of shape because Minnesota Vikings fans did the ‘Skol’ chant on the Art Museum steps? And then they wrapped the Rocky statue in purple and gold?

How dare they? How dare they desecrate the bust of a fictional boxer, a person who doesn’t even exist outside of a movie that honestly wasn’t even that great. Everything related to Rocky is overrated and played out and needs to be held in abeyance for ten years, but that’s another story for another time.

Apparently the Minnesota Timberwolves learned nothing from that previous exercise:

Hmm.. you know what? I don’t see any taunting here actually. Looks like just a bit of sightseeing and goofing off. This is clearly different from cornball Viking fans trying to be antagonistic.

The biggest violation here is that Karl-Anthony Towns is playing the wrong music out of that boombox. Is it still called a boombox these days? I don’t want to get that wrong and have the teenagers call me a “boomer,” even though I’m a Millennial.

But former Sixer Robert Covington is up on those steps, too, so I imagine some people are conflicted. They’d like to rip the T-Wolves for befouling the Art Museum but have to tiptoe around the Roco presence.

Either way, it’s a nothing burger to me, since Rocky is worn out and overrated, but you may possibly be offended by this.
