Eagles/Patriots Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

Super Bowl 52 REVENGE game for the Pats, who are coming off a loss to the Ravens and hit their bye week at the same time as the Birds.

Today head ball coach Doug Pederson addressed the scribes at NovaCare, informing them that Alshon Jeffery is still recovering from the ankle injury suffered against da Bears about a week and a half ago. The week off was fortunate:

“It helped him,” Pederson said Wednesday. “He’s still store, but a lot of guys are still sore. We’ll see. He’s kind of day-to-day right now.”

The Eagles could really use a 100% Alshon Jeffery out there, but it doesn’t seem like they’ll get it.

Here are the other notes from Doug’s presser:

  • they spent a lot of time talking with DeSean Jackson, doctors, and “third party” people in deciding how to handle his injury
  • DeSean was “cleared to play” and “felt good,” and it was his decision to not have the surgery at the beginning of the year
  • Brandon Brooks has been a great teammate and “nothing but a pro,” and Doug is excited for his contract extension
  • Jason Peters got his knee scoped and “should be out there today in practice.” They will see where he is at the end of the week.
  • Nigel Bradham will run this week and is feeling better.
  • Cre’Von LeBlance is “still working.”
  • the Super Bowl win “has no bearing on this game,” though they looked at the film as part of their study
  • he agrees with the idea that Bill Belichick does a great job at taking away one thing specifically that teams do well
