Not sure if you remember this from 2017, but ex-Bird Chris Long made a bet with linebacker coach Ken Flajole.

If the Eagles won the Super Bowl that year, Long would get a tattoo of Flajole’s face somewhere on his body. The Eagles of course went on to win it all, which would solidify the bet, though Long never shared the finished product, at least not that I recall.

Thursday, the now retired Long appeared on Thursday Night Football with the NFL Network’s Kay Adams, who dressed up as Flajole and proceeded to ask Long about the bet that was made two seasons ago:

Partial transcript:

Adams: There’s a story behind this. I am Ken Flajole, he is the linebackers coach for the Eagles the year that you won the Super Bowl. Tell me why I decided to dress up like this fine gent.

Long: When I got to Philly, that was my former linebacker coach in St. Louis. And being accustomed to losing, he told me we’re gonna be a great team and I said you need to prove it, I’m in a bad mood and I don’t think we have a shot at the Super Bowl. He said we are. I said okay well if we get the Super Bowl I will get a tattoo of your face on my body. This was in minicamp. When I came to Philly I didn’t know we were gonna be that good. Obviously I wouldn’t have made a bet like that but I made good on the bet.

Long says he will reveal the tattoo “on his podcast,” which I guess is a joke. Dry humor. Or maybe there’s a video component that I’m unaware of. I don’t know. Does he even have a podcast? Either way, I’m interested in seeing the tattoo.

Here’s Flajole talking about it prior to the Super Bowl:
