This got lost Monday with all of the Kobe Bryant tributes and news items understandably dominating headlines.

Browns running back Kareem Hunt was recently pulled over outside of Cleveland, his car containing an open bottle of vodka and a backpack with marijuana. He was cited for speeding and the weed was taken by the officer who stopped him.

The dash cam video just came out, and some of it is pretty rough, a full five minutes of Hunt in discussion with the officer, who was trying to do him a solid. Hunt admits at one point he’s been “fighting a lot of shit lately” and should be playing in the Super Bowl with the Chiefs, who released him in 2018 after video surfaced of him kicking a woman in a hotel hallway.

Here’s the clip:

Jake Trotter at ESPN writes:

A spokesman from the Rocky River PD called the officer’s actions “appropriate.”

The Browns said last week that they were “aware and looking into” Hunt’s incident.

Hunt served an eight-game suspension this season stemming from the hotel incident. He wound up playing five games this year, running for 153 yards behind Pro Bowler Nick Chubb.
