The Flyers Launched a “Flyers Broadcast Network”

In my personal opinion, Snow the Goalie is the ultimate Philadelphia Flyers radio show and podcast.

But if you’re looking for more on the local hockey team, the Flyers rolled out a new network that will feature all sorts of digital audio.

Press release:

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today the launch of their brand new Flyers Broadcast Network, a comprehensive suite of Flyers-focused digital audio content available to listeners and fans for the first time ever. The network, available to listen now at, includes five new exclusive podcasts and the team’s round-the-clock livestream Flyers Radio 24/7.

The network’s new curation of podcasts delivers a listening experience for all types of fans, from the Flyers fanatic to the casual Philly sports fan, there’s something for everyone looking to get their hands and ears on the most up-to-date Flyers content.

Shows on the network include:

Flyers Daily:

“Your daily check-in for all things orange and black, this podcast gives you the need-to-know-now Flyers news. Hosted by Flyers Radio Personality and Content Contributor Jason Myrtetus, this daily show serves listeners the latest and greatest updates on the team.”

Flyers Fix:

“Hosted by Jason Myrtetus and Brian Smith, Flyers Radio Personality and Manager of Broadcasting/Media Services, Flyers Fix brings fans bi-weekly coverage on major storylines surrounding the Flyers and across the NHL. Featuring an interview with a member of Flyers Hockey Operations every episode – including players, coaches and alumni – this one covers it in-depth.”

Everything But Hockey:

“Everything But Hockey is hosted by the Flyers’ In-Arena Host Andrea Helfrich, who takes a deep dive into the personal side of the Flyers organization to serve up exclusive stories you won’t hear at the game or see on TV. In this bi-weekly pod, Helfrich will take listeners off the ice and along for the ride as she gets to know more about the people behind the boards and those closest to the players themselves.”

Broadcaster’s Roundtable:

“This monthly show delivers the Flyers ‘state of the state’ from an insider’s perspective. The podcast’s carousel of hosts includes Flyers broadcasters and media personalities such as Tim Saunders, Steve Coates, Jim Jackson, Chris Therien, Brian Smith and Bill Meltzer, who will discuss and debate everything going on with the Flyers right now and what the club could be facing up ahead.”

Prospect Pipeline:

“Prospect Pipeline is a monthly round-up of everything you need to know about the latest Flyers prospects. Hosts Brian Smith and Flyers Online Content Contributor Bill Meltzer, make this the go-to stop for everything on the team’s up and comers, from discussions on which newbie could be the next rising star to which call up decisions could make or break the Flyers lineup on the ice.”

That’s quite a bit of content for Flyers fans to enjoy. Looks like a good role for Myrtetus as well, who championed the sport for 97.5 before he was let go a few months back.

All six Flyers fans (5 white guys from Delco and one from Voorhees) are probably really excited for this. For the rest of Philadelphia, it is a waste of electricity.

yes because most of us can’t get enough of Kobe Bryant, how the Eagles will screw up the draft and endless boring basketball talk

  • Skippy January 29, 2020 at 2:58 pm

The tens and tens of listeners who will tune in daily, must be pretty thrilled with this.

It felt so good to get another co-host of mine fired. Myrtetus was such a tool, the show was always about the cuz, not him!

Talk about my dad again and I’ll slap you in the face with my gabagool.

They need a Gritty podcast where he discusses his favorite ways to assault children.

Since this tool was involved in the “Dwayne from Swedesboro” calls, shouldn’t the flyers distance themselves from him? I know Kate Smith said a racial slur 70 years ago so she’s gone, but this guy being involved in stereotyping a certain type of race is ok? Keep up the good work Flyers!

You must have quite the life to sit around and listen to two sports talk stations all day. And I don’t give a crap if he sang “jig a boo, jig a boo, I see you” on air all day. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of that stupid organization. Much like the hypocrisy of that woke fat slob nat who adds so much to little mikeys show. She’s so woke yet she took a job with a station that allowed those calls to take place and when it became public, did nothing about it. Not only that, she’s on the show with the host who “knew nothing about it” of course. It’s ok though, the token is in the producers chair now

  • Jason got shafted at the Fanatic January 29, 2020 at 4:43 pm

He paid his dues there and they decided to funnel money into Farzy’s pocket instead. There is only so much money to go around.

How does woke nat egg have a job over Jason myrt

      She’s got two assets

      • Amazing Sam Wilson also has those same two assets January 30, 2020 at 10:45 am

        Clever program director.
