Eagles Cheerleader Auditioning for American Idol

Last May, Kyle Tanguay became the Philadelphia Eagles’ first male cheerleader.
Apparently he can also sing, and is auditioning for American Idol, as you can see right here via this Birds Facebook post:
He’s pretty good, really talented guy. The song is called “Mercy” by Shawn Mendes, that Canadian 21 year old who does the “In My Blood” tune that has something like 290 million Youtube views.
We will find out on Sunday whether or not Kyle goes to the next round. Believe it or not, American Idol is 17 years old now. I can’t believe we’ve had 17 seasons of this show. I’m old enough to remember when that Justin Guarini guy came in second place. He went to CB East and grew up in Doylestown.
Kevin has been writing about Philadelphia sports since 2009. He spent seven years in the CBS 3 sports department and started with the Union during the team's 2010 inaugural season. He went to the academic powerhouses of Boyertown High School and West Virginia University. email - k.kinkead@sportradar.com
