Press Taylor is Getting a Promotion
Per Tom Pelissero:
The #Eagles are adding passing game coordinator to QB coach Press Taylor’s title, source said. A promotion for a bright young assistant.

What does this actually mean?
Geoff Mosher, who does a great job with Adam Caplan on the Inside the Birds podcast:
I said recently on @InsideBirds with @caplannfl that #Eagles seemed poised to go the new route of pass game coordinator/run game coordinator hybrid instead of traditional O.C.
Taylor (pass)/Stoutland (run) combo resembles SF's model of Mike LaFleur (pass)/Mike McDaniel (run). https://t.co/CIuno8CyE8

It’s interesting. Also makes me wonder where Duce Staley falls in the coaching hierarchy.
As of right now, the Eagles still don’t have an offensive coordinator, receivers coach, defensive backs coach, and defensive line coach. We’ve got Marquand Manuel and Matt Burke rumored to take the latter two jobs, but not much in terms of who would be handling those offensive roles. Perhaps, as Mosh notes, they emulate the San Fran setup by splitting the run and pass duties behind Doug Pederson, who calls the plays. You see this in college, too, where sometimes you’ll find offensive-minded head coaches who call the plays, then have co-offensive coordinators who typically handle a specific position as well.
Coaching announcements expected to be made official later this week, per Johnny Clark.
EDIT:
There’s also this –
Eagles coaching staff coming together. Former Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello and former Mississippi State pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Andrew Breiner are also expected to have a role, I'm told.
