On Saturday evening, the Sixers are on the road taking on the Milwaukee Bucks in front of a national broadcast audience.

Note: the Before we get into the preview, go take advantage of FanDuel Sportsbook‘s outrageous offer for this game, where the Sixers are listed as +52.5 by clicking here.

While the Sixers’ 35-21 record is disappointing relative to preseason expectations, they’ve won four straight games since being handed a 112-101 loss by the Bucks back on February 6. That was a revenge game of sorts for the Giannis-led Bucks, who dropped a 121-109 result on Christmas Day.

Perhaps the biggest difference between the games was the presence of guard Josh Richardson on Christmas Day, when he dropped 18 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists. In Milwaukee’s win at home, Richardson was not in the lineup and Giannis doubled his scoring output.

With that, let’s get into our Sixers-Bucks betting preview.

Sixers vs. Bucks Odds

Here’s the line for the Sixers and Bucks at DraftKings Sportsbook PA:

Bets We Like With a Sixers Win

Sixers Win and Under 226.5 Total Points (+650, DraftKings)

The Sixers are going to have to hope the return of Ben Simmons will be able to reignite what had been an effective offense prior to the All-Star break. If you’re a believer in the Sixers’ ability to avenge a road loss to Milwaukee earlier this month, at least get some increased value and take the under. Coming off 1 day of rest this season, the Sixers have a 7-12 O/U record as a road team.

Bets We Like With a Bucks Win

FiveThirtyEight gives the Bucks a 65% chance of winning with a -3.5 point line. The Sixers are an absolute train wreck on the road this season, coming into Saturday night’s road came at just 9-19. The Bucks, on the other hand are an astounding 25-3 at home.

Bucks to Win and Under 226.5 Total Points (+150, DraftKings)

The Bucks have lost just one of their last 28 games against teams from the Eastern Conference. The Sixers are a borderline disgracefully bad road team.

That said, the teams have combined for an average of 208 in nine games over the past three seasons.

Bucks to Cover and Under  226.5 Total Points (+275, DraftKings)

The Sixers haven’t covered the spread in any of their past seven games after an overtime win. Add that to the aforementioned scoring history between the teams, and this would appear to be a reasonable bet.

Bets We Like Independent of Outcome

Joel Embiid 30+ Points and 10+ Rebounds (+400, FOX Bet)

Joel Embiid is coming off a monster 39 point, 16 rebound performance against the Brooklyn Nets. After the game, he declared himself to be the best player in the world.

Why’s this worth a look? In two regular season matchups against Milwaukee this season, he’s posted averages of 25 points and 11 rebounds per game. Just a season ago, Embiid averaged 34.7 points and 15.7 rebounds per game in three games against Milwaukee.

Giannis Antetokounmpo 30+ Points and 15+ Rebounds (+250, FOX Bet)

Giannis is averaging 30.3 points and 17.4 rebounds per game in his last seven games. In Milwaukee’s 112-101 win over Philly on February 6, Giannis went off to the tune of 36 points and 20 rebounds. Despite the Sixers having three guys who could theoretically keep him in check, the fact that this game is in Milwaukee plays directly into Giannis’ hands.

Sixers vs. Bucks Prediction

Pick: All signs point to a Milwaukee win. Whether you want to parlay that or the Sixers’ inability to cover the spread with the points is up to you. I’d feel very comfortable taking the Giannis prop as well.
