We are!

…losing our Taco Bell.

That’s why Penn State students held a candlelight vigil on campus this weekend, to pay their respects following the unexpected closing of the 310 East College Ave location.

Why did this Taco Bell close? No clue. PSU’s campus newspaper, The Daily Collegian, quoted two former employees, who said “they know the reason behind the closing, but would not comment further on the matter, citing the general reason for the closing as ‘legal issues.'”

Interesting. I’d like to know more about that.

Here’s a video of the vigil, which I found tasteful and appropriate. The students did a really nice job honoring the Taco Bell:

The way I see it, this is just part of the cycle of life. When one door closes, another opens, sometimes literally and sometimes figuratively, and in this case, the new Taco Bell in South Philly will replace the Penn State Taco Bell, providing balance to the cosmos.

For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, there’s a location being built right off the 95 exit ramp on Front Street, next to the Dunkin and Liquor store:

You can get off the highway and rather easily hit the drive through. It looks really convenient.

If you’re a Penn State student and you’d like to speak anonymously about the closing of the Taco Bell, email me at [email protected]. Or you can contact Josina Anderson.
