Seems Like Yannick Ngakoue Really Wants to be a Philadelphia Eagle
Yannick Ngakoue turned 25 today.
As such, his Instagram is a hodgepodge of birthday-related stories, but if you let the thing autoplay you’ll come across a photo of Brian Dawkins in a Philadelphia Eagles uniform.
This would seem to be a continuation of the not-so-cryptic bread crumb placement that began last week, with the Jaguars’ stud defensive end making it very obvious that he wants out of Duuuuuuval.
Earlier this morning he made that crystal clear when responding to a report from Mike Garafolo:
Let’s agree to disagree . Why hold a man from taking care of his family. It’s obvious my time is up in my current situation. Let’s both move on @Jaguars 🏁 https://t.co/XvGcSAQQkH

Earlier this offseason the Jaguars slapped the non-exclusive franchise tag on Ngakoue, which means he’ll be expensive, more than $17 million per year. He’s a fantastic player though, 37.5 sacks in four NFL seasons and would be a perfect fit in Philadelphia, where elite pass rushers are highly valued. Not sure how much Jacksonville is asking for, but it’s obvious the guy wants out, which will affect their leverage.
