Anthony Gargano "Hearing That the NBA Could Return in July"
The Cuz checking in on Twitter:
More: The league would then consider starting the following season on Christmas Day. No quick turnaround in October like many people are asking about

The Las Vegas thing was floated in earlier league discussions, as reported by Marc Berman at the New York Post. This was part of the article that also mentioned Atlantic City as a central location where the NBA season could be played sans fans. This seems the most realistic, since stuffing 20k human beings into an arena is gonna be no bueno for the time being.
And, theoretically, the idea of chopping games off the front of next season and playing a shortened schedule makes sense. Let’s crown a champion this year and finish this season before we jump right into next year. What’s the point of that anyway? We don’t need to watch the Sixers and Hornets in a meaningless Tuesday night game in November. Play something like a 50-game season next year, then get yourself straightened out in the spring.
I don’t know what Anthony’s track record is for getting things right, but those are the tweets. You can decide for yourself if his source(s) are legit.
Time’s yours.
